RedMan Training

CONGRATULATIONS

to our Chief Instructor, Paul Kelly and our Program Director, Paul Bedford for successfully achieving accreditation as REDMAN TRAINING INSTRUCTORS.
This introduces a great new training methodology into our training ang gives our students the chance to experience Adrenaline-Based Stress Training.

Below is a reference to the REDMAN training from the Chief Instructor of Realistic Training Solutions, Martin Plimmer who as well as being an accomplished martial artist can testify to the realism this type of training through his professional career in the Police Force.

"REDMAN TRAINING Scenario based training is absolutely vital to teach effective techniques in whatever discipline you choose to undertake or teach. With scenario based training you can create situations that are as near as it is possible to get to real life incidents.
Most training suffers from being too static and ritualised. Anyone who has been in the unfortunate position of actually being faced by or subjected to a violent attack will tell you that it is nothing like what you have trained in a gym or dojo for, no matter how many times you have gone through it in a sterile environment. Scenario based training using Redman products give the instructor the opportunity to create 'realistic' incidents for students to cope with; it will test their risk assessment, decision making, reaction times, tactical options and ultimately their justification for using force against an assailant, and all this is carried out in a safe and dynamic environment.

Have no doubt that this is a realistic pressure test for students that can only improve their techniques and confidence. The use of mock up rooms and other equipment will add to the realism and adrenaline rush that is created for the students benefit. Any professed effective training must include dynamic training so that students can be closely tested in ‘stressful’ situations; student feedback confirms time and time again that they believed the 'instructor(s)' were real assailants and that they feared for their own safety but reassuringly acted accordingly in response to that threat whilst under extreme pressure."
